Nuevo Ranking UCI antes del Tour de Francia | Juan Ayuso y Carlos Rodríguez apuntan al Top 10; Pogacar, sobrado en el trono

Antes del Tour de Francia 2024 se han producido los últimos cambios en el Ranking UCI, provocados por la disputa de los campeonatos nacionales. Sin españoles en el Top 10, Juan Ayuso y Carlos Rodríguez aspiran a ocupar una de esas posiciones al concluir la Grande Boucle. Mientras tanto, Tadej Pogacar, gran favorito a ganar el Tour, sigue liderando con una diferencia abismal.
El esloveno tiene 9513 puntos al entrar en el Tour de Francia, por delante de los 5240 de Jonas Vingegaard. Le siguen Jasper Philipsen, Mathieu van der Poel, Mads Pedersen, Remco Evenepoel, Adam Yates y Primoz Roglic. El único cambio dentro de los primeros puestos es la posición número 9, ya que Aleksandr Vlasov ha superado a Marc Hirschi. Esto se debe a que Hirschi perdió su título nacional y, por consiguiente, perdió puntos con respecto a la actualización anterior. Juan Ayuso es 12º y Carlos Rodríguez, 13º. Es importante mencionar que tras el final del Tour de Francia, incluso si Pogacar o Vingegaard lo ganan, sus puntos cambiarán sólo ligeramente, porque el final del Tour coincidirá con el final de la carrera del año pasado y, por tanto, los corredores que corrieron el Tour el año pasado perderán esos puntos. 12 de los 13 primeros corredores correrán el Tour, todos menos Marc Hirschi. Corredores como Remco Evenepoel, Primoz Roglic y Juan Ayuso no corrieron la Grande Boucle el año pasado, por lo que no tienen puntos que perder y pueden ascender significativamente en la clasificación, al contrario que Carlos Rodríguez, que tendrá que superar el 5º puesto y la victoria de etapa del año pasado.
